"We started using Susan Millar’s asthma treatment with our youngest son in May of 2001, and he hasn’t had to use his inhaler since. I recommend Susan’s method for anyone with asthma or allergies who would like to try a non-drug approach."

When a person is experiencing an asthma attack, the airways would not only become narrow but at the same time it would also swell. The swelling will manifest in the airways’ tissue lining. All of these could cause all the rest of the symptoms of an asthma attack. Once again, when having an asthma attack, three major things will happen. One is that cells in the airways excrete a huge amount of excess mucus. Two is that the tissue lining of the airways will swell. Three is when the muscles tighten and constrict. The end result will be the restriction of breathing.
An asthma attack can vary in degrees. There are mild asthma attacks, however there are also moderate ones, and worst, severe asthma attack cases. An asthma attack could take days before becoming full blown, or it could creep up on somebody so suddenly. You may never know. A severe asthma attack has caused many deaths worldwide. Suffocating is something you should be prepared when it comes to a severe asthma attack. When an asthma attack is so severe, the person may not be able to talk due to breathlessness. Commonly, when having an asthma attack, the chest muscles and the neck muscles as well would tighten. The fingernails and the lips could turn blue because of the absence of oxygen in the blood.
It is of utmost importance to find help immediately when having an asthma attack. The treatment should not be delayed even for just one second or else it might be too late. First thing to do is to remember to bring your medication. Take it immediately when you start to feel breathless. Also, always keep in handy emergency telephone numbers so you can call for help. Those who are going along with someone who may have an asthma attack, bring that person straight to the hospital, fast!
Mild asthma attacks are not as deadly as the severe attacks. Do not be complacent though, take medication immediately. It may not be needed to rush you immediately to the hospital but still there should be treatment plans in order. Immediate action is still important.
The prospect of an asthma attack, especially the severe kind, is a scary one. However, there are things you can do and you should do. Do not be defeated by it. Fight for your life.
