Bladder control exercise

For those who are suffering from bladder control problems there are many options which are made available for aiding you to improve your condition. Kegal exercises are known as the most reliable exercise that helps strengthening the pelvic floor muscles. It is one of the most sought after exercise to improve the condition and the function of the bladder. The pelvic floor muscles are the muscles which support the urethra, bladder and vagina and it is the place in the body that stores urine. Through the urethra the body then sends urine out of it.

It is proven that the pelvic floor muscles strengthened will surely reduce the possibilities of stress incontinence and also help in preventing it. Incontinence is defined as the frequent or severe leaking of urine from the bladder. There are several reasons behind the leaking of urine such as sneezing, coughing, laughing or any other physical activity which is referred to as incontinence.

Due to heavy lifting frequently the bladder muscles become weak with time. In females, urinary infections become common after the loss of female hormone known as estrogen which results after menopause which also proves to be extremely obese.

The exercise could be initiated by stopping and starting the flow of urine regularly while micturation. Doing this will be an exercise for the pelvic muscle and also lets you familiarize them. In normal times, you can hold your muscles for few seconds and practice this exercise at times for about twenty times daily and could increase the timing as you go on doing this. But while performing this exercise make sure to relax you muscles for the equal time that you exercise it.

The Kegal exercises are more preferable as they are easy to perform wherever you are and do not take off your schedule also. Results are simply awful and it is impossible for any one outside to know that you are performing these exercises. This exercise should be followed for long even after you get control over your muscles. This would help you in all sense and thus preventing any kinds of bladder infections.

Always monitor the exercise in the mirror to ensure that you do not use the buttock muscle or abdomen. This could be checked by placing a hand on your buttock or abdomen when you tighten them. If you are properly performing the exercise, then buttock or abdomen muscles are not to be used. The results could be displayed in three or four week’s time.

Estrogen cream is preferably used for those fifty plus women suffering from bladder control problems and they could start using these by talking to the doctors about their problem. The cream combined with the Kegal exercises would surely improve the conditions of the infection and would strengthen the muscles present around the vagina and bladder.

Medications and other therapy could be blended along with these Kegal exercises, if they alone do not provide the required results. Thus it would help in strengthening the muscles and also help in lowering the urge to urinate. If you think that these exercises don’t work, you can try bladder control medications.
