The Atkins Diet

In 1972 based on the great effects of this diet- dr. Robert Atkins published a series of books named Dr. Atkins Diet Revolution. All these books were widely accepted by the people who want to loose the weight. Not a long time ago Robert Atkins published another book named Dr. Atkins new Diet Revolution based on the previous one but with some minor changes. The idea of the book remains same.

This diet after the publishing of the first book by Dr. Atkins becomes very popular and widely accepted. This is because the great results in loosing the weight. Why this diet is so effective? Dr. Atkins says that the people in the western world are consuming very non healthy food, or food that after consuming boosts your weight. The examples of such a food are: flour, sugar and high fructose corn syrups. He also states that the saturated fats are not so big problem when consuming, and if we want to loose weight we should exclude only trans fats and hydrogenated oils from our daily meals.
When using the Atkins diet you should also take some exercises and nutritional supplements for a higher effect of this diet. Also you should not eat any carbohydrates because with avoiding them the process of metabolism will be redirected from burning these carbohydrates to burning the fats that are stored in your organism. This is basic idea of Atkins diet.
By doing this your body will burn more calories and also fats stored in your body. This is the process called lipolysis and the metabolic advantage of this process is 950 more calories burnt daily. Dr. Atkins claims that this is the only way to loose weight permanently. He also states that all net carbohydrates are forbidden for consuming. Net carbohydrates are carbohydrates consumed with the food we take deducted for sugar alcohols and fiber. By doing this we are controlling the level of sugar in our body. And all this sugar as previously stated is problem number one for our weight. It is also recommended to take care of all sugar alcohols consumed because these are very difficulty converted in glucose.
Dr. Atkins in order to loose your weight says that you should consume no more than 20 net grams carbohydrate daily. In this diet he allows you to eat more meat, cheese, heavy cream, vegetables and also vegetables low in carbohydrate. You should not drink alcohol during this diet.
Another good idea is to lose weight with simply control weight with diet and nutrition.
